Equipping Families for the Journey
At CASO, we walk alongside families in some of their most vulnerable moments. Whether a child has just entered care or a caregiver is feeling the weight of the journey, our services are designed to ease the burden and remind families they’re not alone.
Our Services
Foster Care Closet
This service helps support at-risk birth families and foster families so they can better care for the children in their home. When children enter into foster care many arrive with just the clothing on their back. CASO welcomes every child by allowing them to choose 5 outfits, 2 pairs of pj’s, a blanket/comfort item, and so much more. We want them to walk into their new home with a suitcase full of their own belongings. We also help provide larger items like beds or baby equipment for homes receiving placement of a child.
Family Support Services
CASO provides acts of services to foster families, biological families, and case managers. Our volunteers provide transportation, babysitting, house closing, meals, shoveling, and more!
Foster Care Home (Coming Soon)
Currently when children are removed, they are brought to the county office where they can stay for hours, days, or even weeks while the case workers try to find a home for them. It is CASO’s goal to provide a home-like environment for the children while they wait instead of being at the county offices. CASO volunteers would be available to hangout with the kids, play games, make brownies, read books or whatever is needed to comfort the children on perhaps one of their hardest days.
Visitation Center (Coming Soon)
Currently visitation is held at the county office in a small room with a couch and shelf with toys and board games. The CASO visitation center will be in an apartment-like setting with a kitchen and living room and playrooms. We also aim to have a secure outdoor space with a playground.
